Commission Availability

Please reach us at info@rebekahmclain.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

I accept a very limited number of commissions each year based on my exhibition schedule and ongoing studio work. Availability varies, and there is often a waiting period before new projects can begin.

Because of my commitments to exhibitions and original collections, commissions are typically scheduled months in advance. If my calendar is full, I am happy to add interested collectors to a waiting list and reach out when openings become available.

Yes. If you have a project in mind but are not in a hurry, I encourage you to get in touch early to discuss timelines and availability.

The Process

I specialize in western and equine fine art, including horses, ranch scenes, wildlife, livestock, and meaningful moments that tell a story.

To start the conversation, please provide:

Reference photographs - You must own these or have permission from the photographer before I begin.

Desired size

Framing preferences

Deadline, if applicable

The story or significance behind the piece

Yes. In many cases, the strongest compositions come from combining several reference images.

Clear, high-quality reference images produce the best results. Professional photography is not required, but sharp, well-lit photos are strongly encouraged.

Pricing and Payment

Commission pricing depends on the size, complexity, and framing requirements of the piece. Please reach out for current pricing and availability.

Yes. A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your place in my commission schedule, with the remaining balance due before delivery.

Payment plans may be available for larger projects. Please inquire for details.

Artwork and Rights

Unless otherwise agreed upon in writing, I retain the copyright and reproduction rights to all artwork, including commissioned pieces. This allows me to share the work in my portfolio and, in some cases, create prints.

Purchasing a commissioned artwork grants ownership of the physical artwork only. Copyright and reproduction rights remain with the artist unless explicitly transferred in writing.

If you prefer that your commission not be shared publicly, please discuss this before work begins.

Shipping and Delivery

Framing options vary by piece and can be discussed during the planning process.

Artwork is carefully packaged and shipped fully insured to protect your investment.

Please contact me immediately if your artwork is damaged in transit so that a claim and replacement plan can be discussed.

Each piece is created entirely by hand and alongside a limited exhibition schedule. Rather than rushing work, I intentionally keep my commission calendar small so that every collector receives the same level of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
